The Alpha Chi National Honors Society Chapter at Grand Canyon University was established in 1971. Alpha Chi is a coeducational academic honor society and a member of the Association of College Honor Societies. Our purpose has been to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those who achieve such distinction, accepting only students who place in the top ten percent of their class from all academic disciplines.

Colangelo Scholars is a learning community exclusive to students in the Honors College who are pursuing a degree within the Colangelo College of Business. Students who meet the aforementioned criteria are automatically members, and do not need to sign up to join! Colangelo Scholars will provide members with great exposure to various projects and networking opportunities outside of the classroom that can significantly enhance members’ personal and professional development!

The GCU IxT Club’s mission is to celebrate and promote interest and innovation in every field of technology. Our goal is to cultivate an environment for like-minded students to pursue their interests and share their passions by engaging with others in projects, learning, and community. We aim to prepare students for highly successful careers in the technology industry by supplying opportunities to gain industry connections and leadership experience. GCU Robotics Club

The GCU Robotics Club seeks to further our technical skills outside of class in order to compete and win national robotics competitions. We will also reach out to local high school robotics clubs as mentors and GCU recruiters.

We facilitate student engagement with the great works of Western Civilization through reading and discussing specific works. We explore connections between great books themes and the Christian worldview.

The Honors STEMists seeks to build community among the honors students studying within the health care, technology, engineering and computer science fields. The College of Science, Engineering and Technology, CSET and CONHCP faculty and staff of the Honors College work together to provide resources, unique learning experiences, networking opportunities and more to those looking to grow in their personal and professional development within these fields. Students also have the opportunity to meet experts in the field, take relevant and educational field trips together, meet for course specific study groups, prepare for graduate and medical school exams together, and attend graduate/medical school prep workshops and more!

The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is a nationwide honors program that focuses on academic achievement, student success, and community service. GCU currently has the largest chapter in the U.S. and has recently been deemed as Platinum Status.

We are the leading resource in academic achievement recognition in the fields of homeland security, intelligence, emergency management, and all protective studies.

Philosophy & Film Society

The mission of the Philosophy and Film Society is to engage with philosophy as expressed in the mediums of film, art, literature and music from a Christian perspective. In addition to communal discussion and engagement by watching films, visiting museums, listening to music and reading together, the society will also provide a space for the creation of film, art, literature and music that explores philosophical and theological themes. Students from any major and college are welcome to join.

The Student Dance Education Organization (SDEO) at GCU is a student chapter of the National Dance Education Organization. Members of this dance club have an opportunity to reach out to audiences who have not been exposed to the power of dance, serving to advance dance education within the arts and across the world.

The main goal for the club is to provide a courteous environment for everyone who wishes to engage on the topics discussed during club meetings. There is a great problem on college campuses and students not feeling as if their opinions are not important to the world, and this is something we would like to fix.
