Our student section is now being talked about nationally, right alongside Duke’s Cameron Crazies, Arizona’s ZonaZoo, and Michigan State’s Izzone. The amount of spirit our own students show every game makes me so proud to be a student here. We’ve been recognized by the NY Times, SB Nation, Jeff Goodman (ESPN), and many other major national media outlets.

2. Thousands of friendships have been made through the Havocs

The frequently attending Havocs develop friendships and connections that will last a lifetime. And strangely enough, a lot of our diehard havocs have told us they didn’t even love basketball when they began coming to games. But they fell in love with the camaraderie and excitement of the whole GCU gameday experience.

picture2 3. You already are a Havoc!!! (Whether you knew it or not)

This year a major change was made for basketball season. ALL students are considered havocs. Not just the people who bought the $25 All-Access Pass. The All-Access pass is just for Havocs who wanted to take their experience to the next level and guarantee a premier seat each game.

4. Tickets are free!

All sporting events are free for students on campus. This is a BIG deal. Go look up what it would cost you to see teams like Louisville and San Diego state in any other major college basketball venue…Certainly not free!!!

5You are only in college once!

The two-day camping trip to Horseshoe Bend and Lower Antelope Canyon is located close to the border of Arizona and Utah. It is possibly the most scenic trip of the year. Horseshoe Bend is the ultimate photography destination anywhere along the Colorado River, where Mother Nature shows off her magical elegance. The camping at Antelope Canyon is also always sure to impress. There are a few annual overnight excursions, and this is one you are not going to want to miss out on. It comes complete with good times and campfire memories

If you don’t believe me when I say we have one of the best student sections in the country, I encourage you to do your research on other schools with historically good student sections. We have an electric atmosphere EVERY GAME. No matter who we are playing, that just doesn’t happen in college basketball anymore. Trust me, we’ve done plenty of research on the matter 🙂
